Description
The prestigious, completely independent Villa looms on the ridge of the Castiglione hamlet, part of the municipality of Ravello, with breathtaking views of the magical scenery of the Amalfi Coast. Designed by architect Giulio De Luca (Naples, 1912-2004), emeritus figure of Italian architecture, it represents one of view examples of twentieth century rationalist architecture in the Amalfi Coast. The construction of the Villa took place on three terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea: the portico entrance leads to the first floor, here we may find the bedrooms, the reading corner and access to the upper level. This large and bright open space, consists of a living room with a fireplace corner, a dining room, a window gallery, a study and a kitchen. The interior spaces are completely immersed in light and each opening surveys the surrounding landscape and, of course, the deep blue of the sea. The furnishings, strictly created by designers, reflect the essential and rational setting of the indoor spaces. It is a Villa of the early '70s, and it preserves the linear and rigorous taste of those years regarding architecture, organization of interior spaces and design. The garden from which you may admire, in total tranquility, the wonders of this place is equally rationally developed. The oasis of greenery that surrounds the property guarantees privacy and relaxation. The dominant white and the brightness of the indoor spaces make this Villa unique and suitable for an attentive and demanding clientele.
