In progressMeta is the first town of Sorrento that you meet after having traveled the panoramic curves of Punta Scutolo coming from Vico Equense and having had the first enchanting glance on the Sorrentina Peninsula that stretches towards the sea with its high tuff ridges to the Punta Bell with Capri in the background. Like other towns on the Sorrento coast, Meta is divided into two areas: the upper part, called the Mulino, which revolves around the Corso Italia and the lower part, called the "Casale" which branches off through characteristic alleys to the beaches. Meta is the town of the peninsula that boasts the largest beaches and the only sandy beach in the area. For this reason it has always been a very popular place in the summer, both by tourists and locals.
