The villa was completely renovated in the year 2000, retaining and enhancing the details of period charm. The entire property consists of a three-storey main villa of approximately 400 sqm above ground level and a three-storey dependence of approximately 120 sqm in need of renovation, only the roof of the latter has been redone. Upon entering the main villa, we find a scenic double living room with a restored and functioning fireplace from the period, with frescoed ceilings and restored cement floors, and a living and dining area with numerous windows overlooking the garden, a spacious kitchen, a double bedroom and bathroom; an imposing central staircase leads to the upper floors. The first floor consists of an independent flat with living room, stylish kitchenette, three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The attic floor consists of a living room and accessory rooms. The property is completed by a large vaulted and stone cellar, parking area and a planted park of approximately 4,000 sqm. The dependance is ideal as a caretaker's house or as a house for short rentals. The finishes are of high quality, such as parquet and decorated cement floors, radiator heating, wooden and double-glazed windows and doors, burglar alarm.

Location: Onno, Lombardy

Valbrona is a small municipality located in the province of Como, Lombardy, in northern Italy. It is located among the hills and mountains of the Larian Triangle, a region enclosed between the branches of Lake Como, near the most famous tourist resorts such as Bellagio and Lecco. The area is characterised by a particularly evocative natural environment, with woods, pastures and mountains offering splendid views of Lake Como and the Pre-Alps. The municipality of Valbrona is immersed in a natural mountainous setting, with numerous paths through woods and hills. It is an ideal area for hikers, walkers and mountain bikers. In particular, Mount Cornizzolo offers a breathtaking panorama and a spectacular view of Lake Como. The lake offers a wide range of water activities such as sailing, swimming and windsurfing, as well as being a popular tourist destination thanks to its picturesque villages. The village maintains a quiet, rural atmosphere, with several traditional festivals celebrating the local culture. It is little touristy compared to neighbouring towns, making it perfect for those seeking a break from the crowds and an immersion in tranquillity. Valbrona is a short distance from the towns of Lecco and Como (18 km-30 min drive and 30 km-40 min drive respectively), which offer a wide range of services, shops and cultural attractions. Both are easily accessible by car or public transport. Milan, about 65 km away, can be reached in about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car. The Canzo railway station is only 3 km away, the line arrives directly in the centre of Milan (Milano Cadorna). The nearest airport is Bergamo Orio al Serio (55 km - one hour by car). The airports of Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) and Milan Linate Airport (LIN) are about an hour and a half away by car, 85 km and 70 km away respectively. The nearest ski resorts are those of Piani di Bobbio in Barzio (40 km - about 1 hour by car), Madesimo (about 100 km - about 2 hours by car), Chiesa in Valmalenco (about 110 km - about 2 hours and 15 min by car) Valtorta-Piani d'Artavaggio (about 45 km - about 1 hour by car). Valbrona is therefore well connected to both the cities and the main airports, as well as being close to several ski resorts popular with winter sports enthusiasts.
