Collalbo, the main village in the municipality of Renon, is located in the best position on the plateau of the same name; a hiker's paradise in the midst of unspoilt nature, offering one of the best imaginable views of the main mountain groups in South Tyrol, including the Rosengarten (Rosengarten), Sciliar (Schlern) and many others. The village has just over 1,400 inhabitants and is located at 1,154 metres above sea level. Not far away, the famous pyramids of Renon can be reached on one of the many possible hikes. Winter sports enthusiasts will also find many attractions here; the extensive Corno del Renon ski area and the renowned international speed skating track. The property, located in the centre of the village, is in the immediate vicinity of a bank, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, convenient parking facilities and public transport, providing excellent connections between the locality and Bolzano. A curiosity: Sigmund Freud, a frequent visitor to Collalbo, wrote his work 'Totem and Taboo' here in 1913.
