Description
The Venetian Arsenale has always been one of the city's iconic sites and represents one of Europe's first industrial settlements. With its three kilometres of crenellated red brick walls, it occupies an area equal to about 15 per cent of Venice's urban development. It was here that the Serenissima Republic built the ships that enabled it to excel in trade in the Mediterranean and northern Europe, as well as becoming the bastion of the Venetian Republic. Northern Europe as well as becoming the bulwark in European defence against Ottoman invaders. A history that began in the 12th century and still fascinates those fortunate enough to stroll within its monumental walls, among the placid pools of water and squeri. What a privilege it will therefore be for the next lucky owner of this lovely, recently renovated attic apartment to enjoy the view of such a historical monument every day. In fact, the building in which we find ourselves overlooks a quiet campiello that contains all the typical features of Venice: the rio, the vera da pozzo, the historical walls with the city's symbolic lion set into them, not to mention a beautiful tree that offers the coolness of its foliage during the summer. The flat consists of an open plan living area, 2 rooms, a windowed bathroom with a large shower, a convenient storage room and enjoys excellent natural light that will make your every stay extremely pleasant.
