Description
We are located in a beautiful panoramic position in the municipality of Grazzano Badoglio, in the heart of the Monferrato Astigiano, a territory that became a Unesco Heritage Site in 2014. The history of this estate began in 1900 when the grandfather and father of the current owners began cultivating vineyards. The passion for the agricultural and oenological world was handed down to his son, who continued and expanded the activity until it became what today is a property with about 20 hectares of land forming a single plot- The passion and love that the owners have put into it over all these years can be seen even before entering the gate of the property: the care and beauty of the vineyards and hazelnut groves, but also the order in which the 100 olive trees are lined up, make us realise how much attention and meticulousness, and above all love, have gone into creating what is one of the most beautiful privately managed agricultural realities in this area. The cultivation of the land is subdivided as follows: 11 hectares of vineyards for the production of Barbera d’Asti DOCG, Grignolino d'Asti DOC e Chardonnay Piemonte D.O.C, all with registered trademarks; 4 hectares of hazelnut groves; 100 olive trees; 4.5 hectares of arable land and woods. The buildings have also been developed over time: we are talking about more than 3000 square metres divided into several buildings. In the old farmhouse, renovated in a conservative manner, there are rooms dedicated to wine tasting and bottle storage, as well as warehouses for agricultural equipment and machinery. More recently built are the two private villas, joined by another building now dedicated to accommodation activities. There is a beautiful panorama of the hills, of nearby Moncalvo and of the Alps, clearly visible on sunny days. The presence of the swimming pool enhances this beautiful property, which is sold ‘behind closed doors’, i.e. inclusive of all agricultural means and equipment necessary for the maintenance and working of the land. More information will be provided at our agency.
