Commission Details

The assignment of mediation to our agency and our real estate agents is conferred through the signing of a specific document or, failing that, through the use of the services listed in our brochure, in our real estate files and ralative clauses. The mediation fee (commission) to be paid by the buyer is 5% plus VAT, calculated on the purchase/sale price of the property. The commission is considered accrued, due and payable at the time of formation of the purchase agreement between seller and buyer (i.e. with the signing by the promising seller for acceptance of the purchase proposal sent by the promising buyer). In Puglia srl (an affiliate of Engel & Völkers Italia srl) and its real estate agents are therefore entitled to demand immediate payment of the commission upon the occurrence of the aforementioned circumstance. The registration tax, notary costs and cadastral and mortgage taxes are the responsibility of the buyer. For anything not provided for herein, the provisions of the Italian Civil Code shall apply.
