The Poggio Del Vescovo Estate

Poggio del Vescovo, built in 1400, is an enchanting example of historic architecture and timeless beauty. Located near Spoleto, overlooking the Umbrian valley, this estate, originally the residence of an illustrious bishop, has seen centuries of history pass through its imposing walls and manicured gardens. In 1994, it underwent a complete renovation that integrated modern comforts into the original structure and aesthetics; the interiors feature original terracotta floors and exposed wood-beamed ceilings, while the exterior boasts a large park with mature trees, an 8-meter x 16-meter swimming pool and an elegant central courtyard. Its grounds extend over 30 hectares and are home to no less than 4,000 olive trees from which a prestigious organic DOP olive oil is made, the fruit of a centuries-old tradition, which thanks to its superior quality and unmistakable taste represents one of the estate's excellences. Poggio del Vescovo is characterized by two large farmhouses of 1000 square meters each, which add further charm to the beautiful property. The rooms, each tastefully furnished and with their own private bathroom, offer privacy and a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills. The representation room, located in the main farmhouse, is cozy and convivial with its large, antique fireplace in the center.
