Avetrana is a municipality located in the Apulia Region, in the province of Taranto. The territory is mainly flat and slightly sloping towards the sea, surrounded by a countryside rich in olive groves, vineyards and wheat crops. Agriculture is still fundamental to the local economy, with the production of high quality olive oil from centuries-old olive trees. The coast of Avetrana stretches for about 13 kilometres, with sandy beaches and low cliffs that attract many tourists, especially in summer. Among the best known beaches are the Dune di Campomarino and Punta Prosciutto, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Also nearby are the Salina dei Monaci, San Pietro in Bevagna with the nature reserve at the mouth of the Chidro river, and Campomarino di Maruggio, known for its marina and fine sand dunes. The historical centre of Avetrana is rich in historical and cultural evidence, with noble palaces, churches and ancient dwellings. Among the main architectural landmarks is the Chiesa Madre di San Giovanni Battista, dating back to the 13th century. Other places of interest include the Torrione, the remains of a 14th-century castle, the Baronial Palace Complex - Palazzo Imperiali, and the medieval Modunato Castle and Hamlet.Avetrana is also known for its rich calendar of cultural and folklore events. Its location is strategic for visiting other tourist destinations in Salento, such as Lecce, which is about 50 kilometres away, and other cities like Taranto, Gallipoli and Otranto. The area offers a fascinating mix of natural beauty, cultural traditions and gastronomy, making it an ideal destination for exploring the Salento. Puglia is also famous for its masserie, ancient fortified agricultural estates built between the 16th and 19th centuries. Commission Details
The assignment of mediation to our agency and our real estate agents is conferred through the signing of a specific document or, failing that, through the use of the services listed in our brochure, in our real estate files and ralative clauses.
