Leaving the flat, we walk down a final flight of stairs which finally opens the door to a wonderful condominium terrace with views over the South Lagoon on one side and the city's rooftops on the other, as far as La Salute and San Marco. We pause, inevitably, for a few more moments and consider how this property is an excellent investment opportunity - thanks also to the presence of septic tanks - but also an extraordinary vantage point for experiencing the enchantment of Venice at any time.
