Following the Argos-Sternas road 7 km after Koutsopodi we come across the old inn of Papadopoulos next to the Inachos Bridge with a new little church built on the hill. The road that branches off to the left leads us to Schinochori, (with 572 inhabitants in the 1951 census and 441 in the 1991 census), three kilometers away (15 from Argos). A village built at the roots of Arkoudovrisi, a spring high on the mountain that irrigates the village, built on a slope with a NE orientation and spreads comfortably towards the plain with the fertile orchards of citrus, apricot and olive trees. On the hill of the village, called Zevgolatio, in 1822 the chief Plaputas prepared the resistance against Dramali. Schinochori is a living settlement today. The resident artisan producers and traders in the street markets of Athens were once famous cheese makers, the first in the craft of Argentinian feta. They also dealt with livestock, tobacco, poultry and olives. Their churches are the Zoodochos Pigi and the Agios Dimitrios metropolis, rebuilt by the residents since 1925. It is 15 km from the Historic City of Argos and is also very close to many beaches and one can visit archaeological sites of the City of Argos such as the Archaeological Museum, the Ancient Theater, Mycenae at 23 km and other destinations.
