Chalandri : Lage und Umgebung dieser Immobilie

Patima Chalandriou is part of the Municipality of Chalandri, towards Penteli, and the area is characterized mainly by low vegetation. When the outskirts of nearby Vrilissia began to experience residential development in the 80s and mainly in the 90s, many residents of the same income level looked for housing in this neighboring area which is located near the center of Vrilissia (and less of Chalandri) and was then a cheaper solution than buying in Vrilissia. As time was passing by and as the residential area of Vrilissia began to be fully built up, several higher income individuals began to live in luxurious detached houses and maisonettes in the area of Patima. In 2004, when the Doukissis Placentias metro station became operational, the construction started to rise again. Up to this day, the construction companies are working feverishly on houses and shops on the extension of Placentia avenue called Irakleitou. Due to the initial development orientation of Patima as a micro-suburb of Vrilissia and Chalandri, the architecture of the area was oriented towards small, independent single-family houses that required many years to be built mostly by the land owners themselves. Building rates were slow until 2004, but construction was of a high standard and with respect for the environment and keeping distances from one building to another. Today the area is inhabited by more and more relatively high income people who need above average housing with easy and quick access to Athens center. As a result the prices in the area have gone significantly up.
