Tordera is a municipality that belongs to the province of Barcelona. It is located to the north of Maresme, although it is true that it borders Selva, a county in the province of Girona, a situation that leaves this town about 35 km from Girona and about 66 km from the Ciutat Comtal, Barcelona. It is the largest municipality in terms of extension in the region (larger even than the capital itself, Mataró) and is made up of a historic center that was born right next to the river, the Tordera River, which flows into the Mediterranean Sea, between Malgrat of Sea and Blanes. It has a cluster of neighborhoods, as well as many housing estates scattered throughout its territory, among which are Mas Mora and San Daniel, two of the most sought after for their privileged location and panoramic views. Tordera is currently at its demographic and economic peak. An example of this is the recent construction of the logistics headquarters of the INDITEX GROUP and its considerable growth in population in recent years.
