"Jesús Pobre" is a charming small village situated on the southwest slope of the "Montgó" natural park. Located just 15 minutes from "Denia" and "Javea," the village is easily accessible by following the main road signs leading to "Javea." Beyond its natural beauty, history, and welcoming community, Jesús Pobre stands out as a prime example of neighborhood mobilization that has revitalized its cultural and human heritage. A key initiative in this revival is the local market, held every Sunday throughout the year. Visitors can still explore the area around Jesús Pobre, where some of the original holm oak woods remain—a glimpse into the landscape that once dominated the region. These mature forests have gradually given way to more cultivated areas, featuring palm trees, pine groves, and even ancient olive trees. The landscape, shaped by the predominant cultivation of vines, along with a few remaining almond and orange trees, changes with the seasons.
