Towards the end of September, the Engel & Völkers Charity inaugurated its new secondary school in Agbetiko, Togo, in a festive ceremony.
The celebration was attended by local politicians, teachers, parents, and supporters. Among the guests of honor were three generations of the Völkers family, whose dedication played a key role in the school's expansion. Oscar Völkers, a member of the founding family, traveled to the event with his mother, Ninon Völkers, and his grandmother, Ingrid van Aalst, the founder of the project. Their presence highlighted the family’s deep connection to this educational initiative and their strong commitment to promoting education in Togo.
“It is a privilege to be part of this important moment today,” said Ninon Völkers. “Education is the key to shaping the future.”
Thanks to your support and the Völkers family’s dedication, we can provide new opportunities and better education for the children in Agbetiko. Every contribution has helped make this project a reality, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the entire school. Together, we will continue on this path and look forward to the positive change we can achieve as a team.
