What’s your name and where are you from?
Hello, my name is Jowita Eisenblätter and I come from Poland. But I have been living in Hamburg for about 10 years.
What do you do at E&V Technology?
I'm a software developer, working in the Master Data team on our Microservices, which, as the name implies, manages the company's most important data. I'm developing with Java in the backend area. Currently, my focus is on an event-based Salesforce connection.
What are some of the challenges you have faced so far?
To get everything done at the same time in the beginning: getting to know new processes and people, exploring new technologies, mastering advanced pipelines, and familiarizing myself with the systems and projects. But it was fun at any time.
My typical day at E&V includes..
Mainly I work on my tickets, I chat with my team and hang around with colleagues in the lounge area during coffee and lunch breaks.
What technology are you most excited about working with next?
Currently I'm looking forward to exploring all facets of microservices and get started soon with Kotlin and Golang. I'm confident that something new will come in before I get bored :)
What was a great surprising thing you discovered after joining E&V?
How pleasant it is to work in a very international team, how unproblematic I was accepted into an otherwise consistently male development team and how dynamic and uncomplicated decisions are made.
I like my coffee…?
From a two-circuit sieve carrier espresso machine, as cappuccino with single espresso and fresh milk as well as micro foam in a preheated cup, without sugar.
