Hi, i´m Malte!

What’s your name and where are you from?

Hi, I am Malte and come from northern Lower Saxony. Immediately after my studies my way led me to the beautiful city of Hamburg.

What do you do at E&V Technology?

As a product owner, I am responsible for the development of new digital products such as mobile apps for end users or internal tools. I create the interface between the users of these products and the external and internal development teams, which I control in the agile product development process.

What are some of the challenges you have faced so far?

To understand how the real estate market and ultimately the users tick. Since I come from the classic B2C e-commerce sector, I am naturally dealing with completely different end users for whom I develop products. The requirements and expectations of a real estate agent in this sector, for example, are completely different from those of a customer in online distance retail who buys consumer goods. But that also makes it exciting!

My typical day at E&V includes..

... usually starts with stand-ups or status calls with the development teams of the respective products. Since we use different processes in product development, routine never comes into play here. This process of change, also as part of the digital transformation, determines a large part of my time here.

What technology are you most excited about working with next?

I'm not a techie. For me, it's not about a specific technology I want to work with. Rather, my job is about making the best use of the technological possibilities I have. Coordination with stakeholders is fundamental in order to achieve the highest possible use of the product. This is the only way to satisfy the needs of the consumers of a product.

What was a great surprising thing you discovered after joining E&V?

I was positively surprised by the good working atmosphere within the team. Besides the good mood I was surprised that there is no official dress code anymore. It is also important that the fun does not come too briefly despite much work. That is the case.

I like my coffee …?

...not from paper cups. I generally prefer black tea.
