Hello Karsten, please introduce yourself: Where are you from? 

Karsten, northern Germany yes but not born in Hamburg

What do you do at E&V Technology?

I’m the lead software engineer at E&V. This includes tasks like build up the micro services and caring for the software development in general.

What are some of the challenges you have faced so far?

As I just started (July 2017) a big challenge is still to find out what is already there and how to prepare/refactor it for the future

My typical day at E&V includes..

Due to our ambitious plans I spend a lot of time currently in the recruitment process to find more passionate developers. The rest of the time I want spend as much as possible with developing software, but those meetings …. ;)

What technology are you most excited about working with next?

Java 9/ Jigsaw

What was a great surprising thing you discovered after joining E&V?

That user log-in log-off in e&v terms is something completely different than you expect

I like my coffee …?

Not at  all! But green and black tea is fine.
