A capital where high-tech business blends seamlessly with historical architecture and tradition, Madrid is at once exciting and slow-paced, fashionable and timeless. It’s a city of efficient public transport and entertainment for all ages, so weekends here can sometimes stretch from Friday dinner time right through until Monday morning.
As well as the world-famous Museo del Prado, Madrid has an entire quarter dedicated to culture. The Barrio de Salamanca, full of art galleries, is a thriving area and home to the Casa-Palacio del Conde de Cedillo, a striking early 20th-century building and the location of our exclusive Esquina Bécquer residence. Close by, opposite Madrid’s largest park and the glorious botanical gardens, is the city's literary quarter. Once home to some of Spain’s greatest writers like Zorrilla, Lope de Vega and Cervantes, it was a prime choice for our Zorrilla residence, a peaceful haven in the heart of the city’s most elegant quarter.
