21 August 2024 - Engel & Völkers News Board Article
The close collaboration between our worldwide locations creates added value for our clients while simultaneously strengthening our global business. An outstanding example of this is the long-standing partnership between Engel & Völkers in the Balearic Islands and Switzerland. In 2024, three properties with a transaction volume of 20.4 million euros were successfully brokered as part of cross-selling campaigns. These referrals to the Balearic Islands came from the locations in Basel City, Flims Laax, and Zug.
Hans Lenz, Managing Director of Engel & Völkers Mallorca Southwest, emphasizes: “In the premium segment, the subtle nuances in consultation are crucial. That’s why I highly value the close cooperation between our team in the southwest of the island and the selected shops in Switzerland. Through targeted campaigns and regular exchanges with colleagues, we have been able to optimally support our clients and close deals for many years.”
Villa R24 – Mallorca Window Display in Zug Produces a 9 M € Sale
As part of the “Mallorca Summer Special,” the Engel & Völkers team in Zug presented a classic window display in their shop featuring properties from the southwest of the Balearic Islands. A client was drawn in by an impressive villa in the window, which immediately caught his interest. Right after discovering it, the lead was forwarded to our colleagues in Mallorca. Thanks to the keen sense of the specific wishes of the Swiss client – particularly his strong desire for a premium location with a sea view – real estate advisor Sissy Mogyorosi presented a handpicked selection of exclusive properties. Despite legal challenges that initially prevented the purchase of the desired property, Sissy Mogyorosi was undeterred. She focused even more on finding the perfect property for the client and presented him with further alternatives. Six weeks later, with the support of Private Office Advisor Karen Lauhus and Hans Lenz, the successful sale of Villa R24 was completed.
The sale of Villa R24 is just one example from a series of successful referrals. Thomas Frigo, Managing Director of Engel & Völkers Residential Switzerland, also values the close cooperation with colleagues in Mallorca and taps into the potential of the global network: “Such successes are only possible when we actively communicate with each other and anticipate our clients’ needs. Every cross-selling success underscores the strength of our international network and the benefits it offers our clients.”
The next opportunity for referrals is the new construction project “Aurum” in Andratx. From October 2024, 17 villas with an average price of 4.5 million euros will be built in the premium location in the southwest of the Balearic Islands. Referrals can be submitted via this form. Questions about the property can be directed to Julia Klahre of Development Services Mallorca Southwest.
