Engel & Völkers has opened its second Market Center in Rome in September. It is the third Market Center in the country and the 19th worldwide, following the first Market Center, which has been operating in the “Eternal City” since 2015, and the Market Center in Bologna, which opened earlier this year. “The new Market Center in Rome will enable us to gain even more market share in this strategically key real estate market, and lay an important foundation stone for our future growth in Italy,” says Tomaso Aguzzi, CEO of Engel & Völkers Italy.
Located in the Cinecittà neighbourhood, this new office space spans 800 square metres. By the end of 2024, more than 100 agents will be brokering exclusive real estate throughout the city from here. The opening will facilitate the global real estate company’s entry into the large residential market in the southeast of Rome. “We continue to expand in key strategic markets and invest in superb agent training, tailored client services and technological innovations to further strengthen our presence in the country.” Tomaso Aguzzi adds.
Engel & Völkers introduced the Market Center (MC) concept in 2013, to complement its already successfully established licence partner system. The MC concept is intended to enable the company to pursue its strategy of rapid growth in key international real estate locations and to gain a larger market share in these important markets. The area in which a Market Center operates covers a geographical region with a transaction volume of 10 to 20 classic Engel & Völkers residential property shops. The first Market Center opened in Barcelona. Engel & Völkers is now represented with more than 19 MCs worldwide.
