Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will be introduced at Engel & Völkers. 2FA is an extra layer of security that ensures that even if your password becomes compromised, your account and data are protected.
To successfully login you will need two things:
Something you know: Your Username and password
Something you have: Your Mobile phone
When you login you will need to type your username and password as you always have, but now also provide a 6-digit code generated by an app in your phone.

This is how 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) works from now on
1) Log in as usual with your updated password.
2) Your login will generate the confirmation code via the authentication app you set up. This is valid for 30 seconds at a time and is regenerated again afterwards.
3) Open the authentication app and write the displayed code in the designated field in the login window.
4) Success - You are successfully logged in.

To change your password according to the new criteria, please log in to E&V World and open the icon in the upper right corner to change your account settings. In order to use the Two-Factor Authentication login process, it is important that your account is uniquely assigned to your mobile phone. The first time you login after activation, a six-digit code will be generated on the mobile phone you configured in the initial set-up.
You will need to contact E&V Service desk.
They can temporarily disable the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for the day. Such requests needs to be made in writing from an E&V email address (for example from a team assistant). At the HQ or any other E&V company-owned site with onsite service, the user can come to Service desk in person, same applies if a reset of the 2FA is required. Password reset is also required in this case.
