Museums & Cellars

Built in 1895, this building designed by architect José Teixeira Lopes, currently holds the main works of art and bronze and marble sculptures made by Mr. Teixeira Lopes. Attached to this building are the Diogo de Macedo galleries, inaugurated in 1975. Part of this artist's collection can be found here. It was donated to the City Hall of Gaia. The collections of both spaces refer us to a extensive view of the visual arts of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century.
