Considered one of the most popular beaches in Gaia, this beach has the shape of a small bay, studded with rocks and ideal for an afternoon fishing. This beach has a bar and also a walkway along it where you can go hiking or cycling.

With excellent accessibilities, this beach is located close to a camping site. It is a very crowded beach and has good conditions for surfing and beach volleyball.
R. do Mar 450, 4405-760 Madalena
This beach is divided into North and South and has an enormous sand and great infrastructure. Rich in iodine, this sea area offers therapeutic properties in the treatment of bone diseases. It is a great place to practice surfing, due to the strong sea swell, and is also associated to several sports practiced on the sand. At the north of the beach, you can see the mouth of the Ribeira de Valadares.

In addition to canvas stalls and showers, bathers can also enjoy extensive sandy beaches that allow them to make long walks or bicycle tours. Besides, their waters are known for their curative rottenness, as well as for their abundance of fish, being much sought after by sport fishing lovers.
Alameda República 2, 4405-696 Gulpilhares
Divided between Miramar Norte and Miramar Sul, this beach stands out not only for the chapel of Senhor da Pedra that is there, but also for the walkway that goes to the area of the chapel of Santa Maria Adelaide in Arcozelo. It is an excellent route to do with the family, while enjoying beautiful sceneries. Every year, the beach receives a pilgrimage in honour of Senhor da Pedra, which starts on Holy Trinity Sunday and lasts for 3 days.
Gulpilhares
This beach is famous for the Aguda Natural Station, where there is the largest variety of fauna and flora in the region. It is a fisherman's beach with more than a century in the tradition of artisanal fishing. It also has an educational research center with activities for the young people and the Museum of Fisheries, it is evident all the dedication and tribute given to this activity. Do not miss this trip to the bottom of the sea.
