This particularity increases its attractiveness by making it possible for the candidate to be eligible for Portuguese citizenship at the end of these five years, without the need to have lived in the country.

The Golden Visa Programme has established a basic investment of 500,000 euros for the vast majority of its investment routes. This range of options extends to investments in approved funds - in which a minimum of 60% is invested in Portuguese companies - and contributions to cultural or research projects. This amount must be committed for a period of five years. In addition, options are available for business investments and job creation, ensuring that the programme remains attractive by offering various investment opportunities.

- Company Creation 10 employees or allocation of €500,000 plus 5 employees

- Donation to Research Activities €500,000 (for research conducted by Portuguese scientific institutions)
