In the 10th edition of the World Golf Awards in Abu Dhabi, Portugal received top honors, distinguishing itself as the "Best Golf Destination in the World" and reaffirming, for the second consecutive year, the title of "Best Golf Destination in Europe."
The country also won awards in various golf categories:
- Best New Golf Course and Best Golf Courses in Europe and Portugal.
- The Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa was recognized as the best golf hotel in Portugal.
- InGolf and Tee Times were awarded as the best golf tour operators in the country.
According to Tourism Portugal, the success of the country as a golf destination is attributed to the integrated offering of tourist experiences, effective accessibility, exceptional hospitality, and high-quality infrastructure, maintaining an excellent quality/price ratio.
