Joana Schenker won the title of Bodyboarding World Champion, on October 8th 2017.

The event took place on Praia do Norte, in Nazaré, a few days after the local athlete celebrated her 30th birthday.

The Portuguese athlete had already been European Champion and now became the first Portuguese to win this title.
