Portugal is the 4th most peaceful country in the world according to the 12th edition of the Global Index Peace 2018.

The Global Index Peace analyzed 163 countries in a total of 23 indicators such as levels of security, social protection, political instability, levels of internal and international conflicts, among others.

Iceland is the leader of the most peaceful countries, followed by New Zealand (2nd) and Austria (3rd). Check here the position of each country.
