October is a great time to visit Algarve

Did you know the weather in Algarve during Autumn is still lovely and sunny? It may not be warm enough to swim in the sea, but it’s still warm enough to spend a few hours strolling or reading on the beach, meandering through flea markets or playing on one of the region’s elite golf courses.

There are plenty of events going on during October, like the "Mediterranean Gardener Autumn Fair", for the enthusiastic gardeners, which will take place at Pavilhão de Feiras e Exposições de Silves (Fissul) on 26th to 27th October.

For the most amusing days, the Aquashow Indoor Waterpark in Quarteira opens on 20th October! This is the only indoor waterpark on the Iberian Peninsula and promises water park fun, super slides, wave pools and spas!

On the 27th to 30th, the Portugal Masters comes to Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, in Vilamoura, where Europe´s best golfers compete in Portugal's biggest tournament. With more than a million rounds of golf a year on around 40 golf courses in the region, golf is now one of the main tourist attractions of the Algarve outside the bathing season.

At the same time, discover the biggest classic car event in the Iberian Peninsula - Algarve Classic Festival - taking place at “Autódromo Internacional do Algarve” from 28th to 30th October.

But if you prefer performative arts such as dance, you can’t miss on the 29th October, a high-level flamenco dance show, a beautiful love story in "DantzariBailaor", by Jesus Herrera, that will be held at the Lagoa Municipal Auditorium.
