Vogelenzang
Vogelenzang is a small village, part of the municipality of Bloemendaal, with a population of around 2,200. It is a charming village with a long history. In the old days, people came to visit here by train and barges. The village and its surrounding area were also popular as hunting grounds for the nobility and the population mainly earned their living in the flower bulb cultivation. Important historical sights are the country manor Huis te Vogelenzang, the restored railway station Vogelenzang-Bennebroek, and the Catholic church Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe ten Hemelopneming, which was built in the mid-19th century.
