The major tram project in Luxembourg City is gaining momentum with the opening of three new stations: Theater, Faïencerie and Stäreplaz/Étoile. The tram line now crosses the Pont rouge, the Glacis, the Grand Théâtre and then the allée Scheffer to arrive at Place de l'Étoile.
This new line allows even more people to travel and helps to relieve congestion on the city centre's roads.
On weekdays, the tram now runs every six minutes between Luxexpo and Stäreplaz. For the famous Schueberfouer, the tram is free until 16 September 2018.
The rails are built progressively. The next step is the extension of the tram line to the main train station.
For Engel & Völkers Luxembourg, this major project of 24 stations is a real progress for the capital of the Grand-Duchy. Indeed, the constant improvement of infrastructure is helping to support the growing real estate market. Prices have been rising for many years, making Luxembourg a preferred location for a real estate investment.
