Esch-sur-Alzette - The cosmopolitan city in the South of Luxembourg is well-known for its architectural charms. Esch's lively past shaped the image of the country's second-largest city profoundly. When in the 1850s, iron ore was found under the grounds of the area, the region quickly found prosperity.
The development of mines and the expansion of the steel industry attracted many international workers and the city quickly grew in population. Esch soon developed into a flourishing town, which reflected in the city’s architecture. National and international architects and contractors shaped the city center with many beautifully ornamented townhouses, such as this splendid property that is currently for sale with the real estate agency Engel & Völkers. In the process of creating the property exposé, the real estate experts dug out some precious photographs, dating back to its construction in 1912.
