Lo Camentràn, the carnival of Courmayeur!

February 13 is Shrove Tuesday, the day when the most bizarre costumes parade in the streets to celebrate the carnival! Children and adults gathered to spend joyfuls moments!

In Courmayeur, the center of the village, comes "alive" with the "Beuffon", typical costumes of the Carnival of Courmayeur, appeared in the early '900 and became a symbol of the folklore of the village, at the foot of Mont Blanc. These will wait for you, for the occasion, in the main square in front of the church. Not only, animated and imaginative carts which are made by the inhabitants of the differents borough, will parade, often realizing parodies of great humor, and that will compete with each other!
But also, for the palate, do not miss a taste of the typical Valdostana soup that is distributed in the main square.

THE 2018 PROGRAM:
 

• 12.30 pm distribution of the traditional "seuppa" (soup) in Piazza Abbé Henry in front of the church.​
• 2.30 pm parade of carts preceded by the music band Courmayeur-La Salle, and by the Beuffons de Courmayeur.
  
• 4.30 pm snack for the little ones with entertainment organized by "Arte i Testa" and for the adults, challenges in the littles streets and on the exhilarating mechanical bull.
  
• From 7.00 pm toasts and Carnival opening with Dj-set by Dj Gabriel and Jacopo and with the participation of C-Bud. During the evening will be decreed the winners of the carts.
