The Aosta Valley is the smallest region in Italy. Aosta Valley is located in north west and is famous world wide for its nature, its history and its culture. Great sport activities encourage the tourism in Aosta Valley. There are many famous places of international tourism where the winter sports are developed. Two long motor way tunnels were built: the Mont Blanc tunnel (12 km) which connects Italy to France and the Gran San Bernardo Tunnel (6 km), by linking Italy with Switzerland. The natural park of Gran Paradiso and reserves, golf resorts in Courmayeur and Cervinia are internationally famous places.
