The answers are both correct. Those who have chosen the first answer (probably most of you) surely immediately thought of the city in Tuscany that is famous for the Palio, the Contradas and its historical beauty. But there is also a town with the same name located in Round Rock in the US state of Texas. It is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in the Austin metropolitan area. The American Siena is located in a large green area near a small river and has over 40 thousand inhabitants.
Officially, the city was developed by Sir John Lloyd between 2012 and 2014 in a very beautiful and elegant way, although the place was already founded in the 1960s and called "the little Siena" by its inhabitants. Lloyd, being a lover of Tuscany and having great admiration for the Italian original-city, named the streets after the locaities of the Sienese area: via San Gimignano, via Montalcino, via Arbia, via Monteriggioni and even via Palio.
In Siena today you can find beautiful houses, schools, 2 large parks, many sports facilities such as an Olympic-size swimming pool, a go-kart track, a soccer, volleyball, basketball and baseball field, as well as a golf course. There is also a disco, a bowling alley and a cinema.
Even if totally different, the two cities – the Italian and the American Siena - share a love for the same city and above all the characteristics of the high quality of life. In Texas the history and culture and beauty of the heritage are lacking but the concept of high quality of life is very clear.
