Eurochocolate is a festival dedicated to the culture of chocolate, which is held in Perugia. It take place every year on October. In 2018 there will be the 25th anniversary of Eurochocolate and the event will start from October 19 and end on October 28.
Eurochocolate is recognized as one of the most delicious festivals in Italy and it is must for all chocolate lovers. In that day the heart of Perugia is covered with thousands of stands related to Italian and international artisan and industrial confectionery. You can satisfy your sweet tooth with regular vanilla and chocolate tastes but also hazelnut, mint, cherry, orange, caramel, coconut, and many more. Apart from regular chocolate bars you can find chocolate liquors, a hot chocolate, or even a chocolate kebab. Almost in every food stand or craft shop you will have an opportunity to try diversified types of chocolate with free tasting.
During the event there is a lot of chocolate activities such as: delicious tastings, cooking classes based on chocolate, beauty treatments, entertainment and fun moments interspersed with deepening and knowledge. Another delicious and worth to see event is chocolate sculpturing. Skilled sculptors transform 1 m³ of chocolate blocks into true work of art, throwing chocolate chips to crowd of spectators.
The admission to Eurochocolate is absolutely for free. There is no entrance fee, no queue at the ticket office, no vouchers or special pass. To participate in the events you don’t need money, just control the plan because seats are limited and may be required to book in advance.
For chocolate lovers there is special ChocoCard which costs 6€ and entitles you to tasty gifts and discounts, not only for use in the purchase of products on stands, but also at restaurants, bars, museums and other affiliated facilities.
