Here is the moment we’ve been waiting for all the year. Finally, the Costa Smeralda summer agenda is unveiled, with 50 events scheduled where culture, international and national music, art exhibition and books’ presentations will accompany us until September.
Let’s start with the most important and exclusive events to be marked in the agenda, one among them the Andy Warhol exhibition inaugurated on June 30 at the Cervo Conference Center. The exhibition will remain open throughout the summer until September 17th and will host the great pop art artist with many works to be admired and ten famous silk-screen prints on paper. An exclusive exhibition not to be missed, for the first time in Sardinia, also brings an absolute novelty: Andy Warhol's memorabilia, including Michael Jackson's guitar with the original signature of the artist.
After the Porto Cervo Wine & Food Festival, Petra Segreta Resort has organized a wine and food event dedicated to the most refined palates. From 28 June until 23 August, Costa Smeralda will invite you to discover its most flavourful side with a review of highest level Sardinian and Italian cuisine: 4 dinners, the menus of each appointment will be created by Luigi Bergeretto, chef of Il Sacro Fuoco Restaurant and by a guest of honor for each evening. Each dinner will be paired by the most prestigious wineries as Contini, Tenute Olbios and Surrau .
And now it’s the turn of the nightlife appointments: in addition to the inauguration of Andy Warhol's exhibition, on June 30 will be held the opening party of the famous and exclusive Billionaire club, VIP’s favorite location since its arrival in Costa Smeralda.
The novelty of the season is the arrival of Roberto Cavalli at Pepero, one of the most famous venues in Porto Cervo. After a deal with Gianni Principessa, owner of Pepero, the designer brought home another small jewel of the Just Cavalli network.
Costa Smeralda in music
John Newman is the first international artist that will take the Costa Smeralda stage: the young and talented American singer will perform with a surprise guest star on July 29 during the gala dinner at Cala di Volpe. Organized by Marriot Costa Smeralda for Qatar Holding, the concert is among the most expected of the season.
Another great night of music will follow On August 12, with the energy and contagious enthusiasm of the Black Eyed Peas.
Not just international musicians but also Italian one. On August 17, Giovanni Allevi will show his talent. The exhibition has been included in the Cultural and Music Festival "Summer Notes 2017", organized by Consorzio Costa Smeralda.
Music will accompany these months in costa until September. From 3 to 9 of the month, with the "Costa Smeralda Music Festival", every day will be a thrill of strong emotions. Among the most important guests the solo violinist Vadim Brodski with the string orchestra directed by the violinist Lyda Chen Argerich, the piano performance of the Ars Duo with Laura Pietrocini on the piano and Marco Fiorentini on the violin. On September 7 will be the turn of the Le Quattro Stagioni show, which on the notes of "Serenata per Archi" op. 48 of P. I. Tchajkovsky, along with the dance body "Estemporada", will bring Vivaldi to northern Sardinia.
And, lastly, Pietro De Maria's piano with the quartet formed by violinist Gabriele Croci,violinist Guglielmo De Stasio and cellist Francesco Ferrarini.
Last but not least, the well-oiled event dedicated to cinema, the Tavolara Cinema Festival. At the 27th edition and with an opening at Porto Rotondo that will not disappoint the fans of the event, from 5 to 23 July there are many appointments scheduled among San Teodoro, Porto Rotondo and Tavolara Island. Guests not to miss Sergio Castellito on July 21, the meetings with actors and filmmakers led by Piera Detassis and Geppi Cucciari and three splendid exhibitions, including one dedicated to Totò.
