We, Engel & Volkers Padua, were with you throughout the discovery of some of the most beautiful and important excellence of our territory. We aimed to guide you in three unique routes, and this is our third, and last, stop.
We shared our values, passions and skills; now it's time to discover together the Exclusivity.
VIGNALTA is a little gem: a winemaking company, placed in the Euganean Hills, in the village of Arquà Petrarca which is just 20km far from Padua.
During this journey, Harmony, Land, Passion and History take root along with skills, uniqueness and excellence of our beautiful hilly territory. Vignalta produces wine of prestige, exclusive, to taste during the best moments, able to satisfy the most refined palates.
Here, even more, the cornerstones become pillars because:
Since the beginning, Vignalta has been able to internalize its territory’s richness and uniqueness thanks to the care and attention it pays to the selection of every plot of land. The meticulous management of the vineyard produces a grape of high quality that goes under vinification with “minimalist” wine-making techniques.
And we, Engel & Völkers Padua, identify with this meticulous management and care: it is a mission, a goal that we want to pursue in behalf of our every client because everyone has to feel exclusive and be able to find one's exclusive home.
The Vignalta company, founded in 1980 by Lucio Gomiero, later saw the entry into the society of the Guzzo and Salvagnin families, Paduan agricultural entrepreneurs, who have brought the company to achieve important goals and awards by a"fusion" of wine passion, skills and love for their land.
Starting from the addition of its products in the national guides of Cabernet 1990, the history of Vignalta has been dotted with the awarding of countless and prestigious awards over the years, to name just a few:
● Colli Euganei Gemola Doc, which was 11 times award-winning "Three Glasses", published by Gambero Rosso;
● Fior d’Arancio Passito Alpianæ Docg ", which won two gold medals "Muscats du Monde" in France, the first wine made from Moscato grapes.
In particular, we focus on the Gemola Colli Euganei Doc wine. It's a red wine obtained from the union of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. It is born already as it is in the vineyard. It is produced only in the best vintages and is a wine made to challenge time; its ageing is a fundamental part of its life: if it is drunk when young it is a great wine if it is drunk with a few years more on its shoulders it gives emotions as just a few wines can give.
The slow ageing in French oak tonneau gives elegance and complexity, but it is the soil, on which the vineyard is planted, that makes the real difference. The eastern side of Gemola is for us the "sancta sanctorum" of the Euganean Hills for the distinctly volcanic mineral note that it manages to bring in both red and white wines.
It is an always elegant wine that avoids the most typical power and concentration superstructures in the hills to have freshness and finesse. The old vineyard does the rest by giving a defined fruit that is still crunchy in the aromas, notes of tobacco and very light spice with chocolate and leather that, over the years, further complex the undergrowth notes. It's a wine for those who know what to choose but above all for those who know how to wait. Like all good things, it is in no hurry. It is like a beautiful house: its charm, exclusivity and value remain unchanged over time.
Vignalta can boast of having been a pioneering reality from a qualitative point of view of the territory, interpreting the grapes in styles of wines not yet explored on the Euganean Hills and going to define new product standards such as Alpianae and Sirio.
The company chose a production course focused on excellence. Its 35 hectares are spread out in the main hills terroirs where organic conversion is taking place. The cellar -independent from the energy point of view- is designed to embrace the traditionalist production approach; it is made of steel for the fermentation and of wood to let the wines rest to make them blossom. This method has always been the same for years and the results are still in the bottle, ready to amaze. Great wines, long-lived, territorial.
So what can we say about Vignalta? - It produces prestigious wines, it knows how to maintain the integrity of the aromas and flavours contained in each bunch of grapes by transmitting, to those who taste them, the same important and unique emotions of the manufacturers.
We too, Engel & Völkers Padua, in sharing the research course, transmit to our clients our same emotion, which is their one, when we realize that we have finally found the dream house, fulfilling their exclusive desire.
For us, Engel & Völkers Padua, the joy of seeing the satisfied customer's smile is as satisfying as appreciating a good glass of wine for a good connoisseur.
