Navy officer for 20 years, with experience in procurement, contract management and leadership of technical working groups both ashore and on board. During his long period in the Armed Force, he held various roles such as Prevention and Protection Service Manager, Special Waste Management Manager, Quality Systems Auditor at MM's supplier companies throughout northern Italy and abroad.
For geographical reasons and in order to be able to take care of his family on a daily basis, he decided to interrupt his career by resigning in 2021 and, despite several offers in the world of the defence industry, both as a commercial agent and as head of corporate quality management, he decided to devote himself to his passion concerning the world of real estate at 360°. To begin with, he took part in a master's course in Interior Design at the Italian Design Institute, where he broadened his knowledge of the entire world of interior design and staging, skills that he immediately put into practice in the renovation of two small flats that he now manages together with his wife as hosts on Airbnb. He then experimented with agency work, while continuing his training at Studio Sannino, which gave him all the necessary foundations to successfully pass the Business Agent in Mediation exam in July 2022.
Salvatore is a cheerful and collaborative person, has experienced teamwork over the years and has managed staff for several years of his former career. In his spare time he plays tennis and has cultivated a passion for the Argentine tango for many years, both as a dancer and as a DJ, participating at the console in the main Milanese events.
Why did you choose to join E&V Milano?
Ever since I decided that my role in the real estate world would be that of an agent, I immediately aimed to reach the top of the brands, but before proposing myself I worked my way up through the ranks in another reality for two years. When I worked in the Navy they ran a commercial with a slogan describing the Navy as 'a team that works'. From the very first days, I felt this slogan fitted perfectly with the organisation at E&V.
What do you like about your job?
What I love about my job is that I can instil confidence in my clients during one of the most beautiful but also most stressful moments in their lives - when they are selling or buying their home. I love when I can change their minds about a property by refuting all objections and get the thanks when clients successfully conclude a purchase.
What have been your greatest successes at Engel & Völkers?
The first big success was the opportunity to become part of the E&V world and to work with a very united team with a strong collaborative spirit. Furthermore, observing my colleagues in the early days, I realise that I am part of an educated and professional group from which I feel I can learn a lot.
