8208 Lighting Design Festival: Como illuminated in memory of Volta

The 8208 Lighting Design Festival is dedicated to the use of light in an artistic manner and will be celebrated until the 27th of November. It aims to bring together contemporary art and digital innovation. The Alessandro Volta Foundation for the Advancement of the University, scientific research and higher education collaborated with the municipality of Como, the Festival of Light and other institutions to set up the first ever 8208 Lighting Design Festival. It involves the work of artists, designers, universities and professionals from around the globe.

The city where Volta was born and in which he lived will be filled with art that remodels the spaces and makes light palpable as an object.
