In the Province of Bergamo and the region of Lombardy, west of the river Oglio, is the quaint town of Credaro. Located near the south-western corner of Lake Iseo, this picturesque Italian municipality is about 70km away from the city of Milan, and a 30 minute drive from Bergamo Airport. Sarnico port is a 10 minute drive, and from here the ferry transportation system allows locals and tourists alike to transit through lake Iseo and visit its nearby alluring towns.

The impressive and enduring churches that are found within Credero are testaments to the town’s rich history. Chiesa di San Fermo’s historic bell tower sits near a well maintained memorial park dating back to the renaissance, while the Chiesa di San Giorgio church possesses stunning artworks and murals from the 14th to 16th centuries. These include frescos by one of the most prominent renaissance Italian painters of the Venetian school, Lorenzo Lotto. Lastly only 1.5km away from Credaro is Castel Trebecco, an exquisite 11th century walled castle town full of historic homes and masterful masonry, as well as gorgeous courtyards and cobblestone streets.
