The year 2018 has brought Lorenzo Lotto, one of the most fascinating Italian Renaissance artists, to the fore and to whom has been dedicated big events in Spain, Great Britain and Italy, specifically in the LeMarche Region, in the city of Macerata, where a wonderful double-track exhibition has been conceived and set up.
A really interesting art show, thought as a double track one cause leads from this Le Marche important town - where the painter's works somehow linked to these lands and disseminated in Europe are returned to be exposed - to other artist's masterpieces widespread and preserved in this territory, the one chosen by the artist as the residence of his life's last years, among ancient villages, hills and the sea.
An exhibition of absolute value, started last October 19th, with expected end for February 10th, practically concomitant with two other exhibitions to him dedicated (the first one at the Museo del Prado in Madrid, already ended on last September 30th, the other one at the London National Gallery, inaugurated on last November 5th), that has been disclosing as a great success in terms of high artistic quality and important cultural qualification as regards the comments of the experts, as well as in terms of attendance with over 15,000 visitors and turned the spotlight on our territory, considered as a sort of widespread museum of the Lotto's works.
An event that, under the supervision of Le Marche regional authorities, through a perfectly organized network activity between the exhibition's organizers and administrators of the municipalities characterized by the presence of Lotto's works, such as Ancona, Jesi, Cingoli, Loreto, Mogliano, Monte San Giusto, Recanati and Urbino, besides Macerata (that have all recently signed a memorandum of understanding for future activities), has determined excellent feedback, especially as sounding board and visibility for the beauties of the region, currently proposed by some of the most important foreign newspapers such as the new Tuscany (https : //www.nytimes.com/2005/05/22/travel/is-le-marche-the-next-tuscany.html).
A name, the one of Lorenzo Lotto, able to aggregate the various territories of Le Marche and their political and administrative institutions, where the prestigious Venetian artist has disseminated his artworks that, added to the other ones exposed, has generated this original double track exhibition, for this reason entitled "The call of the Le Marche” "(https://mostralottomarche.it/).
This art show has perfectly been accommodate in the Macerata Buonaccorsi Palace's amazing premises, a beautiful eighteenth-century building, natural home of other civic permanent citizens museums (www.maceratamusei.it), all visitable with a single ticket, which therefore enrich the cultural offer for the exhibition's visitors.
