Valpolicella is the area of hills, which extends north of Verona and precedes the start of the Veronesi Prealps. It belomgs entirely to the rich province of Verona and extends for 240 square kilometres.
The Valpolicella area has been, since ancient Roman times, famous for its viticulture.
The homonymous "Valpolicella" is a valuable Italian red, DOC certified, which is obtained from the grapes of three vines present in the area: the Corvina, the Molinara and the Rondinella.
Amarone wine is also famous in the area, originating exclusively from Valpolicella, which is also a Controlled product with Guaranteed Denomination of Origin.
Another activity that has guaranteed the wealth and fame of Valpolicella is certainly marble extraction.
The area, since ancient times, is in fact the fulcrum of an intense activity of extraction of Verona’s precious red marble.
A wide variety of monuments which, even nowadays, adorn the city of Scaligeri have been built using this marble and it is highly probable that the stones that were used to build the Arena di Verona also come from Valpolicella’s quarries.
Valpolicella’s landscape, however, is not merely wonderful natural landscapes ...
In the area there are wonderful Venetian villas of enormous value, embellished with precious capitals, courtyards, gardens and churches, which are also a testimony of the rich and ancient history that characterizes the area.
These properties, adorned by architectural wonders, fit into a very interesting market context.
The Valpolicella real estate market is in fact, extremely prosperous.
The most interesting part, as easily understood, is that of the value, although the entire spectrum of the market in the area suggests a remarkable liveliness of the market as a whole.
Just think, for example, of the number of real estate transactions which have been recorded in the past year. They have reached the important sum of 1,159, a figure which proves what an interesting investment it could be for the real estate brokerage sector in the area.
