G20s is the event that gather the 20 Italian beaches with the greater tourism flow. In 2017, all these locations together hosted 60 millions tourists, indeed.
During the first edition held in Bibione in 2018, the participating municipalities signed a memorandum of understanding that will be the starting point of the new edition. Moreover, this year 6 more important beach destinations have been involved in the summit.
From 18 to 20 September 2019, Castiglione della Pescaia will host the second edition. Mayors, managers, tourism experts, and decision makers will discuss how to plan the best development strategies, how to identify possible synergies and exchange good practices.
Three fundamental themes - sustainability, innovation and strategic planning - and four key points will be discussed during the meetings, seminars and workshops:
- Environmental sustainability
- Security
- Taxation
- Promotion
After winning several Blue Flags, the G20s event recognize once more the beauty of the Maremma seaside and the efficiency of the services provided.
