Helping people and the planet doing a simple action is possible: we present you our little forest in Cameroon

We decided to say goodbye to 2020 doing something for our planet.

Thanks to Treedom, we made a special Christmas gift to each member of Engel & Völkers Castiglione della Pescaia - Argentario team. Indeed, we donated to them 11 cacao trees that will be planted in Cameroon.

Let’s green the planet together!

While growing, our 11 cacao trees will absorb about 605 kg of  CO2 per year. Doing so, we will contribute to reduce part of the emissions we cause, and we will help the reforestation of Cameroon.

These trees will be planted in agroforestry systems that promote biodiversity as well as a sustainable use of both resources and land.

But ours is not just an ecological choice. In fact, planting trees helps the economic development of local farmers. Once the flowers are born, farmers will be able to sell the fruits and/or eat them, thus earning a new source of income and increasing their food security.

Supporting local communities is even more essential in the first years of the tree's life, that is when it is not yet productive. Thinking and acting green means fighting poverty and helping populations of developing countries to emancipate themselves in a more sustainable way.
