Argentario Sailing Week 2019

A prestigious sport played by highly qualified crews

From 19 to 23 June 2019, 25 boats and 300 crew members will compete in the Gulf of Monte Argentario, supported by about 10,000 enthusiastic visitors coming from all over the world. The yachts ranging in length from 8 to 60 meters are the protagonists of this international regatta, many of which were built in the late 1800s and very early 1900s.

Born as “Vele d’Argento” and renamed “Argentario Sailing Week” in 1999, over the years this event has become a benchmark for the sailing world. It is considered one of the most important regattas that take place in the Mediterranean sea, indeed.

Yacht Club Santo Stefano

The event is organized by the Yacht Club Santo Stefano, one of the most famous Italian sailing clubs and promoter of world championships.

If Porto Vecchio, also known as “La Pilarella”, will be the meeting point for the crews during the day, in the evening the whole village will host many side events that will enliven the Sailing Week.
