Torrevieja’s Top Activities and Attractions for Children

ENJOY THE MANY AMUSEMENT PARKS AND ADVENTURE ZONES

The Lo Rufete Multi-Adventure Park offers plenty of adventurous outdoor activities for kids, including paintballing, kayaking, horse riding, ziplining, and quad biking. The Ozone Leisure Centre is another spot to hang out with children as it has soft play areas, arcade machines, and 10 pin bowling.

The Pettum Sky Zone Trampoline Park, set in a large indoor arena with a freestyle foam pit and various trampoline zone, provides thrilling fun for both the young and the old.

Kids will have a good time exploring the exciting rides at the Parque de Atracciones de Paseo and Recinto Ferial amusement parks.

Introduce children to the joys of playing golf at places such as Mini Golf Las Salinas and El Paraiso de Torrevieja, both of them are restaurants with a mini-golf course attached. The little ones can play while parents can sit back and enjoy their drinks.

SPLASH AROUND IN THE WATERPARKS

Torrevieja is home to two of the best water parks in Costa Blanca, Aquopolis Torrevieja and Aqua Park Flamingo Torrevieja. Both of them offer enjoyable water rides and slides, chill areas, and ample opportunities for both kids and their parents to have fun.

La Bocana Water Sports Centre provides facilities for little ones to enjoy and learn water skiing, flyboarding, coasteering, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle surfing, and wakeboarding.

MARVEL AT THE MUSEUM WONDER

The Dolphin S-61 was the first submarine of the Spanish Armada and is now a floating museum in the Torrevieja harbour. Kids can take a tour of the submarine, getting an opportunity to understand its interiors and how it would have felt to live and work in one. The patrol boat Albatros III, next to the submarine, is also a museum. Together, they form part of Torrevieja’s Museum of Sea and Salt.

FROLIC ON THE BEACHES

Torrevieja has plenty of pretty beaches such as the Playa del Cura and Playa de la Mata. Kids are happy to spend an entire day splashing in the waves, building sandcastles, enjoying water sport activities, or walking around on the promenades and discovering the ice-cream treats at the various kiosks.

EXPLORE THE PARKS

Torrevieja has beautiful nature reserves such as the La Mata-Torrevieja Nature Park. It has scenic walkways and parks that are ideal for enjoying family time, picnicking, engaging in outdoor games, or biking with the kids. The reserve also has fascinating salt lakes, one of which is green and the other is unusually pink, which captures the attention of the curious little ones.

The Parque Molino del Agua, between the salt lakes and next to the coast, is a seafront nature reserve with a water mill and beautiful walks going through the dunes and pine trees that make for a good place for the tiny tots to run around, playing and exploring.

Some of the natural parks, such as the Parque de las Naciones, even have children’s play park areas, playgrounds with slides, swings, in addition to electric boating options in the lake. Other parks that are a favourite for kids include Plaza de la Constitution, Doña Sinforosa Park, and Aromático Park.
