La Carihuela

La Carihuela is an old fishing neighbourhood located in the southwestern part of the municipality. Carihuela beach is one of the best on the Malaga coast due to its beauty, spaciousness and great gastronomic offer. Today the area has been modernised, but maintains much of its original essence, with traditional shops. La Carihuela is especially popular with expats and has a large Dutch community in addition to the large amount of tourism it receives each year.
