Praza da Quintana is a well-known square and historical landmark in Casco Histórico (the historical centre). It is characterized by a large stone square surrounded by ornate structures that date back centuries, including the Catedral de Santiago de Compostela, and the Mosteiro de San Paio de Antealtares, a 9th-century monastery. The plaza is situated on the East side of the famous cathedral, which is the reputed burial place of the biblical apostle Saint James, and is also the culmination of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route.
