Ensanche / Sar - The New Town is the main commercial district of the city of Santiago de Compostela. It is packed with shopping centres, corporate offices, novelty shops, brand name boutiques, contemporary hotels, restaurants and pubs. Popular watering holes for thirsty travellers in the area include O Recuncho D'Fonso in Rúa do Hórreo, where an excellent assortment of beer, wine, fine tapas, and excellent cheeses await.  For the rockstars, Pub Rock Gasteiz opens late in the night until the next morning and has live rock and metal music.
